published by: Stephanie T.We’ve made some recent changes to Florida SHOTS that will make using the system easier and give you more options than before.
Searching for patients can be a time-consuming task. Duplicate entries and similar names make it hard to determine if the Florida SHOTS record is for your patient. An “extend search” option has been added to the Patient Search screen to help narrow down your results. “Extend search” allows you do a deeper search for patient records if your initial search does not initially bring up the patient you’re looking for. This option will find names that match with different spellings and “sound alikes.”
