August Is National Immunization Awareness Month

published by: Kate H.

August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM).  Please make efforts this month to remind everyone of all ages about the value of immunizations as safe and effective steps to control vaccine-preventable diseases. Vaccines offer protection for patients, providers and the community at large. Act now! Recommend vaccines to all eligible recipients.

With the back-to-school rush upon us, parents, students and caregivers will be visiting clinics throughout the state to bring the students up-to-date for required immunizations for school.  Offer the adults vaccines, too.  Nothing elicits a more favorable response, than a recommendation from a healthcare provider.

Keep Florida’s children safe. Immunize on time, every time!

Protect teens as they go out on their own. Vaccinate before they graduate!

Guard yourself and your loved ones. Remind your patients about the adult pertussis and flu vaccines!

A private research company is conducting a survey of all immunization providers in the state of Florida. Whether you currently use the registry or not, we want your input about your immunization practices and your perceptions of Florida SHOTS’ features and benefits.

Your feedback will be used as we move forward to refine the system to best meet your needs. You may designate anyone in the office who is knowledgeable about your immunization practices to respond.

To participate go to www.brunetgarcia.com/survey.

If you cannot access the survey online, call Jenny Camet at 904-346-1977 to request a faxed copy of the survey.
